Fall Fun

Decatur Round Up

Above are some pictures from Amelie's school fall Round Up. They did a great job with the Western theme having square dancing and mounted police. Amelie is with 2 of her classmates - Claire and Lily. They happen to be who she seems to play with the most. The other lady is the assistant principal (Miss J). The pictures were taken in back of the school. I'll have to take some nice pictures of the front and playground soon.

Cubs Fan

We were blessed with some free tickets to a Cubs game at the end of the summer. Yes, Amelie is a die hard fan!

First Day of School

Amelie is very much enjoying school. She comes home saying all these things in Latin that none of have a clue what they mean (including herself sometimes). However, it only took her a couple of days to figure out that she doesn't like homework :) Mostly because she doesn't care for practicing writing her letters. There are eight girls in her class and 22 boys! Yesterday she turned 5 1/2... Though the commute in the car has been somewhat long, we listen to scripture songs in the car and often talk about God. It has been good. This morning she asked me if she could give her teacher a Bible.

John and Katie visit in August

We had a great time visiting with John and Katie and getting to know Luca better. He is a precious little boy! Thanks for making the effort to come our way :) We always love seeing you guys!!!

Matthew's First Birthday!

Can you tell he loved his cake ;) ?!!??! Matthew is wearing the shirt that the Roselle fire department had made for him after he was born there. We had a great time celebrating Matthew's first year of life. We are so thankful for all the friends and family that were able to celebrate with us!

Mommy Daughter Date

Amelie and I very much enjoyed spending some time together on a Saturday before she started kindergarten. We went out to breakfast at Panera (thanks for the gift card Mike and Karen!) and then to the playground. She is a joy and a blessing in our lives!
