A Handsome little boy!
Just got yet another comment yesterday that Matthew looks like Andrew McCarthy. I must say, I do see the resemblance...
Fun on Ice
Amelie's friend, Alice, had her birthday party at the ice rink. The girls did a nice job skating and enjoyed themselves.
Adoption Center Fundraiser
Matthew's birthmom, Katie, was the speaker at the Sunny Ridge Benefit Fashion Show this March. She did an amazing job sharing her and Matthew's story and why she chose adoption! We have a copy of her speech for Matthew to keep :) (Thanks Mike). It was also our first time meeting Katie's grandparents from WI. What a blessing!
Nana visits!
It was so nice to have mom be able to come in February. We very much enjoyed having her! She was able to see one of Amelie's kindergarten performances at school, as well as the house we'd like to buy. Matthew LOVED having Nana (maybe even a little too much, as he started calling her, "mama" :) ).
Chicago Blizzard
These are pictures out the front and back of our condo. This is what kept mom from getting to Chicago any sooner. Our neighboor was on the news, as she went into labor the night of the blizzard. She had to walk a block with contractions to get to the ambulance!
