Cousins

Kirsten came from NJ and spent a week helping Heather with the kids and visiting Chicago. We had a great time going to the top of the Sears Tower with her. She and Amelie aslo went to the Field Museum, and we all went to the "Taste of Chicago" - where Amelie had a fun learning how to dance with "Break Dance Chicago." She was pretty enternaining and entertained ;) Kirsten has all the rest of the pictures on her camera... I couldn't find mine at the time.

Katie visits for the day

Katie took the train in to see us on her day off. We had a great time visiting, going out to "Margie's" for ice cream sundaes, and taking the kids to the park. Thanks for making the trip Katie and all your help with the kids :)

Home with Mom

Amelie and I had a great time making our first coconut cake. It was delicious! (Though I'd still love to get grandma Walker's receipe sometime :) ).

Blackhawks take the Stanley Cup

All our cheering for the Blackhawks paid off when they won the Stanley Cup. Amelie would ask every game night, "Will you tell me who won when I wake up in the morning?" The city estimated 2 million people came out for the parade... Amelie begged to go, and so we did. I think they only made a spot for the 3 of us on the train thanks to Matthew's charm in his little jersey. The teenagers were enthralled with him :) Strangers were taking pictures of the "baby in the Hawks shirt" and putting him on Facebook.
